David Brown, of Lynn, was charged with threatening to commit a crime, threatening a business, threats involving the use of a firearm, and two civil rights violations after appearing in Chelsea District Court on Thursday, May 4, the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office reports.

Brown apparently made threats against two of his former co-workers when he called the BJ's on Ward Street in Revere on Wednesday, May 3, the DA's Office reports.

Store employees told officers that Brown called the store that morning and said, "I am going to kill you and (name withheld). I plan on putting two bullets in your (racial slur) head.”

Staff later told police that Brown was fired the day before for multiple thefts. Brown was placed on a $1,000 bail, ordered stay away from BJ’s and the victims, with GPS monitoring.

Brown was also ordered to refrain from alcohol, which will be enforced by screening. He is due back in court for a probable cause hearing on May 30.
